Hi,

I used some global "value" variables to control the minimum and maximum of several range commands, and in other places.

This works fine if the variables are created from scratch. But if I cloned a variable, by option-dragging from an existing one, it couldn't subsequently be used in a command.

On initially cloning a variable, it puts up a red dot warning to indicate that there are now two variables with the same name. But it seems that the new variable can never be successfully referred to, even once it has been renamed.

Cheers,

Mike

I've tried to replicate this. Can you send me a step by step in e-mail?

I tried the following:
create a variable called "c" (type=Value)
used it in a Lines command
Cloned the c variable
changed the new name to c2
Used c2 in a different lines command

Tried to replicate it in a simplified example and couldn't. Must have been some sort of error on my part. Sorry.
