I have some data where I'd like to plot a single x-axis (time) with 3x y-axes - 2 joined and the the third stacked above since this axis represents a state of a system and not really collected data. Is this possible or can you think of a workaround?

Thanks!

You can do this by using a scaling factor for the second y, rather than joining y1 and y2. The extra axis command is used to display the y2 axis, using the same scaling factor. Then you have a stacked axis for y3.

In the template chooser, there is a file in the Axis group called 'Stacked and Joined', which illustrates this approach.

Is this close to what you were hoping to do?
