Not really a feature request, but not sure where else to post.
I'm just getting started, so bear with me Smile.

Is there any way to switch my application from using DataGraph Framework to DataTank? As in, can I link a DT drawing to a Custom View & programmatically script parameters for variables, etc.? As opposed to bringing an external program into DT.

Also, if I render a 3D Point Collection, is there any way to see the values on the points? I noticed another user asked about labels, but even just a mouse hover would be okay. I've seen the 2D version of this on the example movie, but not sure how to do something similar.

Good point, and I created a new formum topic.

I haven't created an external framework out of DataTank. It is slightly harder since DataTank is threaded more heavily than DataGraph. I could do it with call backs, but that is not a very easy programming style.

But DataTank has a fairly powerful way of calling external programs (command line utilities) from within the program, something that DataGraph does not do. This is because my personal view is that you should split numerical programming into three stages - Graphics - I/O - computation. The first stage would then be done interactively in DataTank, I created the DTSource library to handle the I/O in your own program, and the computation is done as a command line utility with no direct user input. The "External Program" module helps you write programs in this fashion by creating the I/O layer for you.

In DataTank, parameters are part of the workspace, so nothing/everything is a parameter Smile

The "String" drawing command in "3D Space Rendered" allows you to draw a list of strings at a list of points. What might be missing is more methods to create a list of strings, for example from any of the "list" type variables.
