Hi all, I'm having a problem getting the boxplot command to display the statistics in the table exposed by revealing the commands details.

As you see in the image, or image link, I have no data in this table. My goal is to refer to the median value as the text for a label. Ultimately, I simply want to display the median value in my box plot, at or near the median line for each subset (position) plotted.

Right now, it is not possible to get the statistics out of a Box command that has multiple box plots.

What I am moving towards is to use the "From Command" column to extract data from commands, and I will add that option to the Box command so you can extract the median as a column, one row for each box.

When there are multiple box plots, I can't extract a single parameter, but instead of drawing just a blank, I should say something like "multiple values" or put a comma separated list of values in the table.

David,
I now understand why the statistics table is blank due to the "position" choice to create multiple plotted box plots. I'm looking forward to the update that allows one the ability to see, and use as labels, a particular statistic on the graph. Thanks for the reply.

David,

I'm able now to get the column using the "From Command" to show me the medians of a graphic containing the two box plots, e.g., efficiency vs. type of acceleration control (cruise control, manual). Great. But I'm still left with the original problem.

I'm trying to get a label printed on the graphic, where I want it to be (i.e., location specific, or relative to some graphic feature coordinate), using the statistics as the label.

Two box plots in a graph. I want the numeric value of the median bar to be shown to the right of the box, at the median locations. So step one is to get access to the median (or for that matter any other statistic) from the data. Step two is to place it as a text or label on the graph.

I'm getting somewhat frustrated that with all the complexity and sophistication in DataGraph, I can't create a data label from the data in a plotted graphic.

Thanks.
