Hi,

I have a temperature data set and have been trying to adjust axis/tick-mark/label format to create a graph to my boss's liking.

Now, my question is how can I change the label on the x-axis to display "March 6, 2011," instead of just plain 6? I have tried with the "labels" option, but have not succeeded in producing the satisfactory format. I would appreciate it if someone could let me know what I am doing wrong.

Here is what I had tried with the "labels" option

1. I created the "position column" and added numerical numbers to where I wanted the major tick mark to appear. Currently, this column contains many blanks since I don't need so many major (or minor) tick marks.

2. I created the "label column" as a text column and added labels, such as "March 6, 2011" right next to the appropriate value on the "position column."

3. I chose the "position column" as location and the "label" column as labels, but nothing happens to my graph.

Please let me know.

Alternatively, an ability to double click on each label on axis and manually change what it says would be great....

Thanks,

Yuta
