Hi,

I am using datagraph to do scientific plots and I would need to use the latex \ell character. Would it be possible to add it?

thanks!

I can add that. Looking at the unicode table I also see a bold and an upper case. Are there latex symbols for that as well? I tried the obvious one, i.e. \Ell for upper case, but that didn't work in LaTeX. I've certainly added non-LaTeX shortcuts such as \bbR, \bbC, \bbN, \bbZ for blackboard bold characters, so I could add \scriptL, \scriptl etc, but if LaTeX has symbols for that, I would prefer those.

But I also need to make sure that the characters exist. I see for example that mathematical script small l only exists in the STIX fonts on my machine. Which means that even if I add it, you need to have the STIX font in order for it to show up.

I am sorry to bump such an old post from the dead... but was there some progress for the \ell character? It happens my referee is complaining exactly about that Smile

Thanks,
Guido

This is a unicode character - ℓ - and I will add it to the command list. But you can copy-paste this into the text field since all fields and expressions support unicode.
