Hi David,

I'm about to embark on setting up scatter plots for my simulation controller. Would you be willing to flesh out the DGPoints interface somewhat? I've definitely noticed that it's easier to work with the new interfaces than the older style.

Also, I assume that using a DGColorScheme is as simple as defining it via the obj-c interface, and then adding it to the controller and then tying it to the relevant command (e.g. point color in a scatter plot)?

Thank you,
-David

I fleshed out the DGPointCommand and the color scheme should work like that. I added a
Code:
- (void)setPointColorScheme:(DGColorScheme *)scheme;

method to DGPointCommand.h

Thanks for setting up the interface. I'm working with it now. I think I've spotted a small bug. The command below doesn't set the column.

Code:
- (void)setPointSizeColumn:(DGDataColumn *)col;

It gives the error message:
Code:
selectColumn:forEntry:  "Point Size" needs to be a column selector

despite being fed a perfectly valid DGDataColumn. I know the column is valid because it's the same one used in setXColumn, without any errors.
Any ideas?

Thank you,
-David

PS

Code:

(gdb) po x_col
Digits                      - Menu
Name                        - Text field           : timevalues
Return Type                 - Menu
Show                        - Check box

Same issue with a different set method:

Code:
selectColumn:forEntry:  "Point Color" needs to be a column selector

for

Code:
[dg_scatter_cmd setPointColorScheme:[colorSchemesDGByName objectForKey:[scatter_cmd colorSchemeName]]];

I'm sure the column I've giving is legit.

Thanks,
-David

Hey,

I realize this post is two years old, but I'm hitting the exact same bug. Did you manage to work around it somehow?

Thanks!
